Exports increased by 12.2% over the identical period

In addition to items that maintain stable exports, Director of the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development (MARD) Nguyen Quoc Toan said that over the past time, there are still many items with reduced export value. Specifically: The group of vegetables and fruits reached over $1.9 billion (down 16.1%), cashew nuts reached nearly $1.8 billion (down 10.4%), livestock products reached 225.6 million USD. Continue to expand export markets
Over the past time, Vietnamese agricultural products have reached hundreds of markets around the world. In which, Asia is still the number one export market, accounting for about 42.4% market share. Following is the market share of America (29.3%), Europe (11.9%), Oceania (1.7%), and Africa (1.6%).
The United States continues to be the largest export market, reaching nearly 8.7 billion USD (accounting for 26.8% market share); The second is the Chinese market with over 5.7 billion USD (accounting for 17.8% market share). The Japanese market ranked third with an export value of over 2.3 billion USD (accounting for 7.2%).
In the coming time, the ministry will continue to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities, aiming to open up export markets. Surveying the consumption and development of agricultural markets in localities and border gates.
The Ministry will also strengthen the dissemination and propaganda to businesses and people about the provisions regulating the export of agricultural, forestry and fishery products; regularly update and disseminate changes in import regulations of other countries, especially the Chinese market.
Along with market expansion, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also focuses on guiding localities, production and business establishments to strictly comply with regulations on quality management and food safety; develop safe food supply chains. At the same time, promote supervision of production processes, strictly handle establishments violating legal regulations in order to improve the quality of exported agricultural products.
